While driving last week, when I had to wait on a traffic signal in Chennai, I got a chance to peek on the rear view mirror, where I saw a scooter slowing down towards the traffic signal. I saw the rider opening up the legs well before the stop and slowly dragged the feet on the road to stop the scooter. Something popped in my mind. Isn’t this very similar to a Boeing opening it’s landing gear well ahead before landing and screeching on the run way for a stop? Wow, it indeed looked very identical!
Alternately, I have seen a lot of bikers who do not take their legs off the foot rest until the bike comes to almost a halt. Probably they know how to balance their weight better!
